Dear Lyndhurst Pupils

Here is where you can access your home learning whilst our school is closed. There is a suggested timetable for you to follow as well as a useful websites page where we have found some of the best sites for you to access.

Your teachers will be updating your home learning folders on a weekly basis so it is important to keep checking back for new activities.

Remember that we all learn at different rates - if you are finding the work too easy or too difficult then try the work in the folder for the year above or below.

Exercise and mindfulness videos are available in your year group folder under 'Yoga with Megan'.

We are looking forward to welcoming you all back when we are able to.

Ms Beechurst :)

Please remember your parents now have access to individual year group email addresses.  As teachers, we would love to see any learning that you have completed at home so please upload pictures and comments to us.

Key Websites to Support Home Learning

White Rose Maths Interactive Lessons - We follow this scheme of work at school. Here you can find lessons for every year group. Each learning step has a video, worksheet and answers. Please follow the steps in order.

I See Maths (Gareth Metcalfe) - We often use the materials that Gareth creates within our maths lessons. He is releasing new maths lessons each day.

Yoga with Megan - We have now included links to some yoga videos from Megan, our yoga teacher. Please find the link through your year group page.

Portsmouth Parents has put together a list of some great Online Storytelling websites.

Why not check out the BBC Teach Live Lessons? The subjects include English, Maths, Science, Art, Dance, Music and PSHE. They also come with age recommendations so you can select the most suitable for your child.

Bug Club - Online reading, spelling and grammar programme. Children have their own personal logins.

Sumdog - One of our favourite online maths programmes. Children have their own personal logins. Site also contains reading and spelling activities. An app is available for this website.

Prodigy - Another popular maths programme. Many children in Year 4, 5 and 6 have their own personal logins. You can sign your child up if they do not have a school login.

Big Maths - We use this weekly in school. Children are given short CLIC, Learn Its and SAFE tests. Children may continue to undertake these on a weekly basis. Please note: Children MUST undertake these tasks without any support as they are aligned to their own personal progress.

PiXL Times Tables App - available on the App Store and Google Play. Children have their own personal logins.

PiXL Unlock Vocabulary App - available on the App Store and Google Play. Children use the same personal login as the PIXL Times Tables app.

There is a further website list under each year group tab. Please refer to this for other useful websites.
